    Question:

Submitting a team of consultants required as noted on page 2 refers to the District will select the MEP Engineering firm and will be outside of our scope. What MEP firm(s) are to be retained by the District?  I assume this firm will be under direct contract with the District?

    Answer:

This appears to be an unintended expectation. We will make an amendment to the RFQ which will read:

Only Firms with proven experience and success in designing and building state of the art facilities will be considered. Firms will need to show their ability to produce a bid ready design within Sixty (60) days once awarded the project. Qualifications will determine the successful applicant. The architect is expected to provide Geo-Tech, Structural and Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Audio/Visual Design Services, MEP Engineering, and Landscape Design components within their scope of qualifications. If a Firm is interested, please submit the information required in this request to:

    Question:

On page one of the RFQ, the last paragraph refers to the following; “Firms will need to show their ability to produce a bid ready design within sixty (60) days once awarded the project.”  - As I read this sentence, after selection of a firm and contract in place, the District desires to have complete bid documents for the complete list of projects within 60 calendar days of notice to proceed?   As we interpret this statement, our team will have to complete all design and related construction documents for a complete bid package within 60 days.  I’m not sure if that was the intent, or maybe something different?

    Answer:

Yes, we expect the firm to show their ability to produce a bid ready design within sixty (60) days once awarded the project. However, an extension may be considered if the majority of respondents feel it is unrealistic.
