NHS volunteers help register blood donors.

The St. James R-1 School District is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the recent Spring Blood Drive organized by National Honor Society (NHS). This event perfectly supports our district's mission of empowering students through caring relationships, academic excellence, and community partnerships.

The Spring Blood Drive showcased the remarkable dedication and selflessness of our students and staff. They came together and donated 85 units of life-saving blood in total this year with 43 being collected this Spring. The NHS Blood Drive also provided invaluable learning experiences for our students. By participating in initiatives like this, our students learn important life skills and it encourages them to become proactive contributors to society.

"We are immensely proud of our NHS students and their commitment to service," expressed Mr. Webster, Superintendent. "Through initiatives like the Spring Blood Drive, students and staff champion our mission. "

The success of the Spring Blood Drive owes gratitude to the leadership of the NHS advisor, Josh Adams, student volunteers, and the support from our school community. The St. James R-1 School District extends heartfelt appreciation to all participants who contributed to the success of this event.

As a district, we remain committed to empowering students, fostering a culture of caring relationships, academic excellence, and dynamic community partnerships. The accomplishments of our NHS students inspire us all and serve as a testament to the potential each student possesses to create meaningful change in the world.
