Students learn to tie their new jump ropes from Kiwanis

The Annual Jump Rope Assembly, organized by the St. James Kiwanis, is an eagerly anticipated event that brings fifth-grade students together in a spirit of fun, friendship, and community. The event perfectly aligns with our district's mission of empowering students through caring relationships, academic excellence, and community partnerships.

At St. James R-1 School District, we place great importance on fostering caring relationships. The Annual Jump Rope Assembly serves as a powerful demonstration of this commitment. Through the support of Kiwanis, each fifth-grade student receives a jump rope, symbolizing their encouragement and support. During the event, students, teachers, administrators, and community members come together, building stronger connections and creating an atmosphere of care and support for our students.

We recognize that education encompasses more than just academic achievements. That's why we value physical activity as an essential part of a well-rounded education. By engaging our students in jump rope activities, we encourage them to stay active and develop healthy habits. We aim to prepare them for success not only academically but also in leading balanced lives.

Community partnerships play a crucial role in fostering academic success for our students. The involvement of Kiwanis in organizing the Annual Jump Rope Assembly exemplifies the positive impact of such collaborations. Their generous contribution of jump ropes goes beyond material resources; it signifies their commitment to our school community. By working together, we strengthen the bonds between our school and the wider community, fostering a sense of belonging and pride among our students.

We extend our sincere appreciation to St. James Kiwanis for their support and dedication to kids!
