Mission Monday Highlight: Safety Update!
We will be completing the next phase of our School Safety Grant project this week. As a reminder, the district was chosen as one of the recipients of the School Safety Grant Program, launched by Governor Mike Parson. This grant program is designed to help schools improve the safety and security of their facilities and ensure that students are protected in the event of an emergency.
Twenty-nine HALO Devices have been installed in our district buildings over the last week. HALO is a vape detector, an air quality monitor, and a complete security device. According to their website, “With a single device HALO provides Building Health Monitoring, Indoor Air Quality Monitoring, Vape Detection, THC Detection, Gunshot Detection, Emergency Key Word alerting, Audible alerting, Light/Occupancy alerting, Chemical alerting, VOC alerting, Tamper alerting as well as Temperature, Humidity and Pressure alerting.”
