District

Happy October!

We are coming off of a big Homecoming victory and bringing home the first-ever Route 66 rivalry trophy against Cuba at the high school. All three buildings have after-school and before-school tutoring in full force to reach all students who might have fallen behind in their classes or need a little extra help.

The first of three scheduled projects around the district is in full force. Phase one includes re-roofing of the high school and district-wide LED lighting upgrades with motion sensors. The lighting is projected to pay for itself and create annual savings of just under thirty-nine thousand dollars to the district. We hope to complete all of phase one by the end of the first semester. Then, we will begin phase 2, which will include the rest of the high need areas at the high school and some of the high need areas at the elementary.

In October, we will be hosting virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences. We found this to be a very successful event last year and were able to reach out to more parents than when hosted in person. You will see emails shortly on setting up a time to meet with your child's teacher.

Every day is a great day to be a TIGER!
