Happy November,
November is an action-packed month in the school world. We have finished up the first quarter and had a successful parent-teacher conference. We were pleased with the number of parents our staff was able to connect with. We are currently winding down the fall activities season and have kicked off the winter activities seasons as of November first.
Our before-school and after-school tutoring programs have held consistent numbers to this point in the year. Our staff is happy with the number of students we have been able to help during this time. We are hopeful this will continue.
St. James Schools is also working on a partnership with Your Community Health. We hope to kick this partnership off early in the second semester of school. At no cost to the district, we feel we will be able to provide an on-campus medical clinic for staff and students. Students will need a signed waiver to be seen by the physician, but this could enable numerous staff and students to be seen right here at school and not have to schedule an off-campus doctor's appointment. We will share more about this as we finalize things!
