The St. James R-1 School District honored our veterans on Thursday, November 10th. Activities were held in all three buildings to show our appreciation to those who have served our country. The day also included a flyover by John Fester, a St. James graduate, in his North American T-28 Plane.
Students at Lucy Wortham James Elementary held a Veteran's Day Fair with activity stations such as making thank you cards for veterans, a video thank you, and games they could play with their guests of honor: active members of our armed services.
John F. Hodge High School and St. James Middle School had assemblies and invited veterans from our community. Students showed their appreciation and thanks through speech, song, and music.
We are forever grateful to our veterans for the freedoms they provide to us.
