Seven of our academic top ten graduates were recognized at the Four Rivers Conference Academic Top Ten Banquet Monday night. Congratulations to all ten and we look forward to what the future holds!

Congratulations to the high school's very own Mrs. Walsh on being named the 2023-24 staff member of the year. Mrs. Walsh has served the building for 27 years and will be retiring at the end of this school year. Her steady commitment to the students at St. James will be missed.

This afternoon we got to celebrate our students who have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher the first three quarters of this year and 90% attendance or better. We had 150 students that were able to participate in the Honors Luncheon. This is one of our favorite days of the year as we get to express our gratitude as a building to our students who have earned this recognition. Every day is a great day to be a Tiger!

It's been a big week for our business department. DECA sent nineteen competitors and eleven made it to state. Congratulations everyone!
FBLA sent 32 competitors to Lebanon yesterday and 19 made it to state! Those 19 competitors will travel to Springfield April 14 - 16th to try and earn a state championship. Congratulations FBLA!

Congratulations to Dionna Lynch on receiving the Army Award this month for selfless service. Dionna is always putting others before her and willing to help out whenever necessary. Her nomination read, "Dionna Lynch is the kindest student who tries to make sure that everyone's voices are heard. She is self aware and puts her best effort into everything that she does."

Congratulations to Karen Goodin on her signing to play softball at Westminster. She has had an outstanding career at St. James and we are excited to watch her continue her playing career and get a great education.
Congratulations to Kaiden Snyder for signing with Missouri S & T to continue his track career at the collegiate level. Missouri S & T is definitely getting a special student athlete!
We will be having our Veterans Day Assembly tomorrow from 10:20 - 11:00. We will have seating for the public and would love for you to join us!
We want to express our appreciation to the Phelps County police department for taking the time today to visit our school. Officer Scheel brought Hondo to search portions of our building. Thank you for your efforts and keeping our kids safe!
Next week is Homecoming! Let's make sure we show our school spirit and dress up next week. The game is against Cuba at 7 pm and the dance is Saturday, September 23rd from 8 - 11 pm.
