St. James Parents/Guardians, 

Welcome to St. James R-1 School District! Here is how we are going to communicate with you:

1. Mobile App: Starting in the 2025-26 school year, all district buildings will begin using Rooms, our new two-way communication tool, for direct messages between families and teachers. Rooms is fully integrated into our existing St. James R-1 Schools app, which remains our main hub for district communication.

   To get started, download the app using the links below. Once installed, go to Notifications, follow your child’s school, and select St. James R-1 Schools to receive important updates directly to your phone.

2. Email/Text: If you have not been getting emails or texts from the District as a guardian, please make sure you have your information added correctly in Infinite Campus. We cannot control if your email address is blocked by your company or email provider, or sent to SPAM. This is why we encourage you to also download the app. 

3. Website: The Live Feed on the District page will be updated regularly with great things happening in our buildings. We also have important announcements in our News Section.

4. Inclement Weather Information: We will send out the notifications for no school or early dismissal through the district app, as well as phone calls in addition to the website, social media, and sending the info to news outlets. 5. Social Media: The District maintains an Official Facebook and Instagram account.

6. Athletic Updates: If you would like to stay up to date on Athletics and Activites, go the Events section of our website.
