Tiger Highlight: Exploring What’s Next! ❤️🐯🤍
Our 5th-grade students took a big step this morning as they visited St. James Middle School for a special tour from current 8th graders! This transition is an important one, and today’s visit gave them a chance to ask questions, see their future classrooms, and ease some of those jitters.
Huge thanks to our counselors and teachers for planning such a thoughtful experience. GREAT things happen here when we work together to support our students through every stage of their journey! #caringrelationships #stjschools #tigerpride

Learning Highlight: Probability Carnival at St. James Middle School! 🎪🎲📊
Mr. Benson's 7th-grade math students turned their classroom into a carnival to put their probability skills to the test! They designed and created games based on probability and invited 6th-grade students to come play. As the games rolled on, the 7th graders tracked wins and losses to calculate the actual probability of winning each one.
Hands-on learning, real-time data, and plenty of fun rolled into one GREAT math lesson! #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Tiger Highlight: From State to the World Stage with DECA! 🌎🐯🎉
Four of our DECA students qualified at the state level and earned the opportunity to attend the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida, at the end of April! They joined more than 26,000 attendees from 31 countries and competed in Marketing, Hospitality & Tourism, and Entrepreneurship events. Multiple days of competition challenged their skills, while advisors took part in professional development sessions to bring fresh ideas back to St. James!
We’re proud of these students and our own Mrs. Hance for representing the district in our community with Tiger Express Apparel as well as on the world stage! #DECA #stjschools #tigerpride

Learning Highlight: From Incubator to Outdoors 🐣🌱🐔
Ag students at St. James Middle School got hands-on with the chicken life cycle, watching them hatch, grow, and get ready for life on the farm. Take a look at their full journey from egg to outdoors. #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Learning Highlight: Music Notes & Sunshine! 🎶🐯☀️
In music class, students took their learning outside and used sidewalk chalk to practice writing music notes. A little sunshine made it the perfect setting for hands-on fun! #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Tiger Highlight: DARE Graduation! ❤️🐯🤍
After months of learning and growing through the DARE curriculum, 5th-grade Tigers celebrated their DARE Graduation this morning! These students have worked hard to build confidence and become thoughtful, responsible community members.
