Tiger Highlight: A Royal Day at the Capitol! 👑🐯❤️
Grape and Fall Festival Queen and proud St. James Tiger, Addalye Felan, represented our community with grace and pride at Royalty Day at the Capitol! She was recognized on the House floor by our elected officials and showed up with confidence, class, and a whole lot of Tiger spirit.
We love seeing our students shine, and we’re proud to live in a community where our schools, the St. James Chamber of Commerce, and the City of St. James, Missouri, come together to celebrate them every step of the way.

Tiger Highlight: Lifelong Learners Leading the Way!
At St. James R-1, we believe GREAT things happen when educators embrace lifelong learning! Our Library Services team recently attended the MASL (Missouri Association of School Librarians) Conference, where they continue to lead not just in our district, but across the state:
📚 Mrs. Hope Hunter is MASL’s 2nd Vice President.
📚 Mrs. Erin McCurdy is the Past Chair of the Mark Twain Readers Award Committee.
📚 Mrs. Cheryl Harlan serves on MASL’s Curriculum Committee.
And a special shoutout to 6th grader Blair McCurdy, who stood in front of an audience of over 500 educators to present the 2024 Mark Twain Award to author Ena Jones. What a moment of confidence, pride, and student leadership!
GREAT job showing what it means to be lifelong learners and leaders! #TeacherTuesday #stjschools #tigerpride
