Students from Lucy Wortham James Elementary, St. James Middle School, and St. James High School came together for the Pink Out Kiddy Camp, where mentorship took center stage. Older cheerleaders led younger students through team-building activities and taught cheers.
The week wrapped up under the Friday night lights, as all participants performed before the varsity football game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Thank you to our cheer coaches and cheerleaders for showing what it means to lead with heart and Tiger pride!

Students in the St. James Middle School STEM Club have been busy exploring new challenges, from testing designs in an egg drop experiment to building and racing their own cars. This enrichment time gives students a chance to discover how science, technology, engineering, and math come together in creative ways! #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

St. James High School FCCLA has been busy this fall! Members recently attended the St. Louis Fashion Alliance, exploring design trends, the role of AI in fashion, and hearing from industry professionals. They also participated in the FCCLA Region 5 Fall Meeting in Rolla, learning about teen safety, leadership opportunities, and what to expect from FCCLA after graduation.
Experiences like these help our students grow as Future-Focused learners, ready to pursue their goals and make an impact. #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Our ROX (Ruling Our eXperiences) group at Lucy Wortham James Elementary played "Walking in Someone’s Shoes," a game designed to build empathy and understanding. This activity helped students see how seeing another person’s point of view leads to stronger relationships and greater kindness. It reflects the core value of Social Integrity, part of our Portrait of a Graduate! #ROX #stjschools #tigerpride

Mrs. Owen’s scientists wrapped up their unit on speed, direction, force, and motion with a game of classroom Putt Putt! Using yardsticks as golf clubs and cups as holes, students explored how force and direction change the way things move while having fun with friends.
It was hands-on learning and Critical Thinking in action, a core value of our Portrait of a Graduate! #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Phelps Health generously donated notebooks to all our schools, making sure students in every building have the tools they need to learn and grow. We’re thankful for their ongoing partnership and the support they show our Tiger community!

✅ Did you know? Completing the Free and Reduced Meal Application doesn’t just benefit your family, it helps our entire district! Increased participation can bring in more funding for programs and resources that support every student’s success.

Mr. Benson’s math students took their lesson outdoors to enjoy the fall weather and put proportions into practice. They measured a classmate’s height and shadow, then measured the flagpole’s shadow. Using those numbers, they can calculate how tall the flagpole is, all with a little sunshine and a lot of math! #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Fourth-grade students traveled back in time as members of the St. James High School Medieval Club stopped by to share a bit of life from the Middle Ages! From a knighting ceremony to faux battles and Q&A, students got an up-close look at what they’ve been reading about in their current ELA unit. It was a royally good time for our young scholars! #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Digital Detectives: Learning to Think Critically Online! 🔍🐯💻
Fifth-grade students explored Digital Citizenship and how their actions online can leave a lasting digital footprint. After reading a story about online safety with Mrs. Hunter, students used critical thinking to analyze fake online profiles and identify red flags like shared locations or personal details.
Learning to think critically about online choices helps our Tigers stay safe and make smart decisions in the digital world. #PortraitofaGraduate #stjschools #tigerpride
