🎓 Exciting News for St. James Graduating Seniors! 🎓
Town & Country Bank is thrilled to announce that they will provide graduation photos for all St. James graduates this year!
Each graduate will receive a complimentary photo of themselves receiving their diploma, which will be available for pick-up at the St. James branch approximately one week after graduation. Watch on their Facebook page for updates on when to pick them up.

The Class of 2024 experienced a cherished tradition they missed out on as 8th graders: the farewell breakfast provided by their teachers. Despite the unfortunate closures during their 8th-grade year, these students returned to enjoy a morning filled with laughter, delicious food, and heartfelt memories.
Congratulations to our seniors as they come full circle, sharing a special morning with their former teachers, and cherishing the memories and bonds created then and now!
Mark Twain Madness: Celebrating Our Readers at Lucy Wortham James Elementary and St. James Middle School! 📚🐯🎉
Last night, the elementary and middle school joined forces for an incredible celebration! They gathered to honor 47 students and 16 staff members who earned their spot on the Readers' Wall by reading at least 4 of the 12 Mark Twain Award Nominees this year. They enjoyed a tasty meal, got competitive with Battle of the Books trivia, and took home some awesome prizes!

Today marked a big milestone as our 5th graders celebrated their DARE Graduation! DARE essay winners from each class bravely stepped forward to share their essays, showcasing their understanding of the valuable lessons learned throughout the program. Witnessing every student confidently walk across the stage to receive their certificates was a testament to their commitment to making positive choices.

National Honor Society held its Spring Blood Drive, resulting in an incredible 48 successful blood donations, many from first-time donors! Throughout the school year, they've collected a total of 96 donations, directly benefiting local hospitals in southwest Missouri. In April, LWJE witnessed remarkable displays of perseverance as our students tackled challenges with determination and resilience. April's Word of the Month was PERSEVERANCE!
Throughout each month, students across all grade levels will participate in engaging classroom challenges that encourage them to embody the “Word of the Month” in their daily lives. At the end of the month, each classroom teacher will select a student who has truly embraced the spirit of the word. These students will be recognized as "Students of the Month.”
