Today, we proudly celebrate #MissionMonday, highlighting the positive impact of collaboration on student growth and development. We believe strong ties with our community are vital to creating a thriving educational environment, extending beyond classrooms to offer enriching experiences. Recently, the District hosted a satellite volleyball camp for 6th to 12th graders, led by Missouri S&T volleyball coaches, Andy Halaz and Ryan Thompson. Over three days, our players focused on fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship under the expert guidance of these college coaches. We extend heartfelt gratitude to Coach Halaz and Coach Thompson for working with our students. Wondering when online registration will open? Anxiously awaiting who your child’s teacher will be this year? We know things are a little later and here is why. The St. James R-1 School District will be utilizing Infinite Campus as our NEW Student Information System. Once our new system is live, families will receive an email from the district with the steps to create their new Parent Portal Account and for the registration process. You will also be able to find information on the website once registration opens: www.stjschools.org. Online registration will be opening soon, so be on the lookout for communication. Summer School Snapshot! Students at Lucy Wortham James Elementary embarked on a coding adventure at the library, where they dove into the world of technology and learned coding basics with the help of Ozobots! So, what are Ozobots? They are small robots designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of coding in a fun and interactive way. Ozobots follow colored lines and can perform various actions based on the code they read. Our students explored the Ozobot's abilities and experimented with different coding commands. They discovered how to make Ozobots change colors, speed up, slow down, and even perform dazzling dance moves! #CodingFun #SummerSchool #stjschools #tigerpride
